This is where we will be staying for 5 months in Mexico, December 1 until April 30. We have rented the apartment in the bottom part of the house. Only $550 a month how could we not. It is owned by an American man from Seattle, he lives on top in the winter months. It is in San Carlos in the State of Sonora. Sonora is the only state that does not have any drug cartels. San Carlos did sustain some damage from hurricane Jimena earlier this month but not enough to stop us going. The owner promised to have internet access by the time we got there so I should be able to keep in touch.

The house/apartment looks really pretty -and here's hoping the landlord follows through for you with the internet promise.
That looks like an excellent (and sturdy) house for apartments. And the fact that the owner will be in-house while you are there is even better. I so look forward to hearing your adventures and how you get along there.
